Interior Design

  • I'll ask you to identify and express how you want your home to look and feel. The design will be livable, functional, and affordable, following taste, not trend. Together, we'll create a welcoming, warm, calm space.

I source, recommend, and style materials and finishes for your home:

    • Kitchens

    • Bathrooms

    • Bedrooms

    • Living rooms

    • Dining rooms

    • Hardware

    • Decor, accessories

    – and make it all work together!

    • Honor the unique, original architectural intent of your home. Not all houses were built at the same time, not are the same style. The interiors should reflect the original intention of the home.

    • Address both form and function when remodeling your house. You can do both. And you really don’t have to spend more to do it well.

    • Follow taste - rather than trend.

    • Create calm, comfortable, cohesive spaces. Warm, welcoming, safe.

    • Build a practical, functional, and livable space as affordably as possible.

    • Everything can be improved - even if imperfect.

    • Neutral palette

    • Earthy tones

    • Natural materials

    • Hand made, artisan crafted

    • Local sourcing

    • Layers

    • Texture

    • Mix of modern & vintage

    • Lots of natural light

    • Sustainability

    • Continuity

    • Cohesion

This isn’t necessarily high or haute design. It doesn’t have to be to look good and feel great. Most of us don’t live that way, anyway.

We’ll make your home – and life in it – beautiful.

Construction Coaching

  • Whether you're remodeling your existing home, buying a house, or building a new one, I'm here to help guide you through your project, from hiring a contractor, selecting fixtures and furniture, to styling and decor. I'll make the process easier, smoother - less stressful - for you.

    • Help you understand the process. Walk you through the process.

    • Help you determine if you can live in or move out. Or a bit of both.

    • Assist you in evaluating proposals and establishing budget.

    • Collaborate, at other times mediate, and certainly advocate for you.

    • Make it easier, smoother, more seamless for the client and the contractor

    • Step in to help you manage the construction process as an owner’s representative of sorts.

    • Interface directly with the contractor on your behalf.

    • Save time, money, and stress. Not to mention brain damage.

    • Allow you to pay attention to the things that are most important to you - family, friends, work, and rest and self care.

    • Think of me as your project manager. The contractor has his or her own. I work for you.

    • I work most successfully when I get in early to the process, helping you think through the budget, timeline, and plan for your project.

    • I explain, advise, advocate, and support.

    • I work collaboratively, respectfully, calmly, and kindly. I am also firm.

    • I’m not afraid to get down on the floor, test wood stain colors or play with tile layouts.

    • I help you save time, money, and wear and tear on your relationships.

    • From finding and hiring a contractor, to selecting finishes and furnishings - and everything in between - I coach you and your family through the process.
